Great gel, but not as thick as expected
I applied my gel x tips with this glue today, and this gel is almost everything I’ve hoped for.
I’ve been using flex gel since it came out because I can prep all 10 nails at once, then batch apply each hand at once and then cure only two times total. It makes the process so so fast! The downside is having to apply topcoat to the underside of my nails because it’s sticky, and I like to use matte topcoat because it makes it “go away” and doesn’t draw any attention to the underside of my nails. Matte topcoat stinks so bad when curing though so I don’t like using it.
I was drawn to this gel because I thought I could batch as well, but that was not the case because it was still too runny. If you could make an “extra thick” version that is at the consistency where flex gel is squeeze tube compatible and I don’t have to use any additional tool to spread, that would be amazing so I can batch and not have to worry about drippage onto the table or pooling in the center while they sit there for up to 10 minutes.
I absolutely love using the squeeze bottle and have zero desire to ever go back to a bottle with a brush, or have to press out with a spatula. Doing my nails from removal to finished application takes me 2 hrs 15 minutes (with no art) so anything time saving and fewer steps is important to me (thank you for the new colored top coats!) I will continue to use this even though I can’t batch because of the squeeze bottle convenience, and the fact I don’t need to use the stinky…
