Overall the process took almost a month. I filed my initial claim November 11th. I heard back by the 15th to make sure I purchased the drill repair & then email back the order number so they could confirm, which I had already purchased the 11th. The drill gets shipped to California so it took several days to get there unless you’re willing to splurge for express shipping. I got the okay to send my drill the weekend before thanksgiving so I didn’t get the drill to the post office until the 21st. They received my drill on the 27th of November. December 1st I received an email that they had received the drill & it was being worked on. On December 7th I received an email letting me know my drill was fixed & on its way, to allow 1-2 business days for tracking info. My drill arrived December 11th before they had time to send me tracking info.
I wanted to share how long the process took because I couldn’t figure it out beforehand & just want to let anyone curious know what to look forward to. I had to buy 2 cheap drills in the month mine was unavailable.
I do love the fact that my drill was fixed for $40(plus your shipping to them), even though it seems the repair was switching out the cord, which I wish was sold separately or at least the hand piece was sold separately. I did try to find a drill repair locally to me (DFW, Texas) but the second I’d say Kiara Sky, no one was willing to touch it.
I hope this information helps out anyone looking into drill repair. My drill now…
